ericnixon (711), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA Jul 20, 2003 I got this one on a whim. when i was a kid, i used to love grape soda. i coulnd't get enough. I saw this and i was like, "hey, they make Rapscallion! i've got to try this." i wasn't dissapointed in the least. beautiful ruby color with a light head. wonderful bouquet reminding me of huge fresh grapes (or at least a freshly opened can of grape soda). The grapety of this beer is full and amazingly refreshing. Damn good stuff from a damn good brewer. on my next day off from work, i'll have to zoom down to their brewery for a tour. Hopistotle420 (1177), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Oct 7, 2002 Nice golden honey hue. Big head, great lace. Slight malt, grape nose. I really love this brew. It is definately a few points better on tap. Sweetness first, light bodied, nice carbonation. The finish is the best; dry, crisp, slightly hoppy and the concord grape takes over through the aftertaste. I thoroughly enjoy this fruit brew, one of the best fruit beers ive ever had. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 22, 2004 Deep copper in color with a slight purpleish tint and a white head. Aroma of grapes. Toasted malt flavor with subtle grape flavor. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Jun 25, 2004 pretty weird stuff. purple with a moby grape aroma. quite sweet but as a huge dark grape juice fan i didnīt mind. some light pepperiness in the finish, interesting stuff UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Nov 18, 2002 By far the most unusual fruit beer I’ve had. I felt like I was drinking Welch’s grape beer. Quite tasty, unusual, and refreshing. This brewery makes good beer.
