Davhgbrew (418), Boca Raton, Florida, USA May 3, 2002 Rasberry chocolate nose? More body than most porters I’ve had, which is fine with me. Great find by my man Gregl40. This brew claims to have won the silver medal in the World Beer Cup of 2000, and I believe it, because this beer is awesome. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA Feb 6, 2005 Gotta love Concord! This is a nice dark beer, sweet and earthy at the same time. A little bit creamy, and poured with a generous alabaster head. A beer that looks as pretty as it tastes. GregL40 (97), Massachusetts, USA May 3, 2002 Like those who excavated the tomb of Tutankanen, I feel as though I have discovered a treasure! An olfactory delight of cafe. Just a tad too filling. legion242 (1519), Richardson, Texas, USA Dec 21, 2002 Brown purple color; Fluffy head; Very appetizing nose- brownies. Very god porter. Great mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA Jul 15, 2002 Clear chestnut with ruby hues and some specks floating about. Thin foamy tan head. Trickling carbonation. Roasted caramel and burnt chocolate aroma, quite strong. Mellow and malty with roasted notes, burnt sugar , chocolate and black malt sharpness. Medium body. Dry but with hints of molasses. Finishes with a mix of walnuts, coffee and anise. As it warmed this brew exploded with flavor. A keeper.
