COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One legend has it that thirsty railway luggage handlers in England consumed mixture of different ales in the same pint called "entire." As this mixture gained popularity among the porters, brewers came up with a new style of ale to keep up with the demand. In brewing Concord Junction Porter, we have chosen a variety of ingredients to create its smooth complexity. Grains- Brown and Chocolate malts add nutty, chocolate, and coffee flavors. Hops- Willamette hops create balance with a floral spiciness.

Medium brown with reddish hues that produced a small off-white head and some lace. The aroma hints of toffee, nuts, wildflowers, sundued fruits (current and plums), smoke, and dusty yeast esters. Smoky and malty tastes upfront with some sweet nutty sublime tones. Coffee and bitter finish, the smoky character lingers. Quaffable, no bad qualities but nothing too bold either.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Pours deep dark brown with lasting dense tan head. Fresh aroma of chocolate chip cookie dough. Flavors of chocolate covered raisins with clean but not overly dry finish. Medium body, nice mouthfeel. A very good session porter.

(Rating #1093)

Bottle. There were hints of cherry and chocolate in the aroma. The color was kind of like cherry coke, mostly brown with red hints. The beer had a mocha flavor to it, without the cherry that was in the aroma. The mouthfeel was a touch sticky, and a bit bitter. A very nice beer.

Bottle. Dark brown with a film of bubbles. Smells almost exactly like stale chocolate cake. Taste-liked iced coffee, dough, and yeast. Kind of thin overall, but doable.

Irregular, large-type carbonation on a lighter brown body with yellow edges. Chocolate with smoke finish, thin flavor, thin body with some tingling carbonation. Average porter, though drinkable.

Not too bad, it’s got all you look for in a porter, just not enough of it. I want a porter to be like a turkey dinner, the kind of beer you need a nap after you have it, this beer doesn’t do that.
