Commercial Description:
Our flagship beer! This deep golden beer is a blend of two beers and three fermentations (the last of which is in the bottle or keg). The flavor is a mixture of sweetness with some fruity undertones, spiciness and a light underlying bitterness. Meanwhile, the Rapscallion “pokal”, our custom glass, brings exotic aromatics to the forefront, enticing you to another sip. We strove to make our beloved Premier one of the tastiest golden beers around and we believe that whether you’re a connoisseur or a curious spirit you’ll agree.

Bottle: Orange-y golden pour with a thin white film. Unique aroma of sweet cookie malt, salty cured meats, and a subtle orange hint. Mild carbonation, decent texture. Flavor is a bit spicy. Not much hop character, yet it’s peppery and oily in the flavor. The body is supported by a cookie malt suggestion with a meaty hint in the background (salami?) Mild peppery dryness in the finish. This is definitely a unique beer with a strange flavor. Off a bit, yet interesting.

Bottle sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a pillowy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet, toasty bready biscuit malt with some citrusy notes. Body starts semi-sweet with a slightly bready texture and some citrusy lemon flavor. Fairly complex and interesting.

Poured a hazy dark yellow color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma was yeasty and fruity with notes of apples and pears. A little dusty and a hint of tartness. The flavor was tart with light fruits and a moderate amount of sweetness. Lively mouthfeel.
