argo0 (6229), Washington DC, USA Jan 25, 2004 Hazy golden body with medium-large off-white body. Aroma is medium-sweet, yeasty, some herbal. Taste is medium sweet, spicy, finishing some herbal bitter. Near the swallow is an unexpected orange sweetness, really nice. Medium body. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 02/13/2007

Rastacouere (5343), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 6, 2004 Dark blond body with a gentle off-white head, quiet and long-lasting. Flowers abundance emane from the fruity aroma, orangey and citrusy with distinct pineapple juice undertones. Big, comfortable and smooth palate with many nuances riding from a style to the other. The biscuity, toasty malt reminds of a decent helles while the grassy, crisp bitter finish would be more reminiscent of a verry hoppy pils. The dried flowers and minty complements accompanied by mild alcohol would be more of a belgian ale’s characteristics. All in all, it begs for a sunny day. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 2, 2007 Bottle sampled on 2/13/07: Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a pillowy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet, toasty bready biscuit malt with some citrusy notes. Body starts semi-sweet with a slightly bready texture and some citrusy lemon flavor. Fairly complex and interesting. JorisPPattyn (4493), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 26, 2003 A bit darker orangey; very little head, drops dead.
Grapes, alcohol, candi sugar, orange rind in the nose. Also a bit meaty, faint whiff of diacetyl.
Taste gives orangerind again. Much sweetness present, but absolutely not cloying. There is a hint of something diary-like, but no diacetyl traceable. Orangerind becomes slighte sourish. Not dry, neither.
Medium-thick mouthfeel. Alcohol doesn't show. No new taste. Fruity, orangey tones fade out.
IMO the least of the Rapscallion range, but still quite good - I can imagine a lot of people would just love it. Really a shame about the head.
