jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 26, 2007 on tap-pours a thin retaining creamy white head and cloudy yellow color with effervescence. Aroma is coriander, secondary spicy hops, yeast. Taste is coriander, citrus-lemon, secondary spicy hops, yeast. After taste is a bit off. Good effervescence. patrick767 (1384), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 29, 2006 draft - Pours slightly cloudy and yellowish with a thin head. The aroma is mainly of yeast with a wheat flavor to match that also displays mild citrus notes. It has a too thin body and a slightly off aftertaste. I didn’t find it as sour as some other reviewers, but I’m not terribly impressed either. It’s average at best. ClarkVV (3547), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Aug 20, 2006 Updated: Aug 21, 2006Draught at Redbones on 8/12/06. Lucid, white gold intersparsed with straw and lemon peel yellows. Cloudy, but not muddy. Creamy, dense white head is extremely small, a third a finger in height, and receding to partial cover, with minimal lacing. Heavy coriander in the nose, takes a while to emerge, and citrus peel and nutty wheat are shown up front before the coriander begins to bite at the nose. Dry, with only marginal fruit esters and bubble gum, but a strong, herbal aroma. Massive coriander acidity in the flavor, is very astringent, and very acidic for the style. As if it were meant to be a Belgian IPA, only substituting coriander for hops. Otherwise clean, with smooth wheat in the mouth, some light citrus tones and just a splash of honey and dough. Low to moderate carbonation, some wateriness on the end. Very, very bitter and astringent, much too much so. Palate is heavily fatigued by the end of the glass, which is ridiculous, as this is supposed to be a refreshing summer drink. And Concord certainly arent the only ones guilty of this. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA Jan 31, 2006 This beer pours a cloudy lemon color with blonde highlights, it had some yeast in the body, the head left a thin white lace but it was served with a lemon def no-no, esp for what was about to come. The nose is hard citrus lemon and orange rinds with a little sweetness. The taste was way to sour, closer to a sour ale than a witbier. The sourness in the brew was so strong it almost burned my palate. It really messes up my tongue similarly to a lemonhead candy. This was unfinishable, very dissappointing for a Rapscallion.
Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA Sep 12, 2005 Looks good enough, as it pours cloudy white with a decent sized white head. Aroma and taste are very similar with flavors of mostly banana and pepper. Taste has some cardimom and sweet malts. Taste has just an off yeast flavor though in the finish. Low carbonation makes the mouthfeel smooth but it’s a bit sweet for w wit.
