Handpulled cask at the Malt Shovel, Northampton. Copper with a lively unsparkled beige collar. Little aroma to speak of. Toffee malt with a touch of cheese. Very low on hop content, utterly bland in fact.

Bottle at home ... copper ... thin tan head ... soft dark fruits nose ... bitter woody chocolate malts ... little over fizzy for me ... little dull toffee malts ... soso

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. An amber coloured beer with a whitish head and good lace. The aroma has light berry notes. Good fruit and cereal crunch in the mouth. A nicely balanced brown bitter with fruits to the fore and a decent sour edge to the aroma. Good

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Milton Keynes. Amber with a small white head. Odd sour tomato juice aroma, eventually developing sweet maltiness. Thick fruit and malt in the taste with hints of cardboard and a mid bitter finish. Lots of flavour, but I think this needs to be rechecked.
