3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, - NOV 9, 2010
Dull gold. Has a grassy pastureland kind of aroma, more like real cow than concrete cow. Grassy hops and a moderate bitterness. Fairly hoppy, but with a late kiss of sweetness. Some late pedio influence is ok - it works with the grassiness.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Benjii (2397) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 5, 2012
On cask. Pours a dark golden colour with a lacy beige head. A little acetone aroma with apple, caramel and barley. Similar flavours of caramel, barley and yeast. Mild carbonation and a dry finish.

Cask at the Wandsworth Common Beer Festival, 25th March 2011. Hazy straw colour. Nose is a strange mix of grain, cooked food and a hint of vanilla. Very little taste, not helped by the ultra light palate. Nice Weetabix aftertaste! However... I liked it despite myself! It’s a uber-session beer - would be good for lunchtime drinking or quaffing two pints at a time. Feels like 2.7% or even 1.7% rather than 3.7%.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bullit (3285) - Burgos, SPAIN - APR 13, 2011
Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is light hopped, bit of vegetables. Flaovur is light malted, bit of citrus followed by dry biscuit. Not very good.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 28, 2011
Cask (gravity dispense) at Wandsworth Common Beer Festival @ Le Gothique on 25 March 2011. Pale gold with a thin white head. Lively condition. Modest citrus and grassy notes on the palate. The malt is a touch grainy. Clean and drinkable but could have done with a little more pizzazz. Maybe slightly green.

@ Cloisters, I think. Pure gold with stable tight head. Aroma is fresh pure grain and inviting worty goodness. Palate is soft. Juicy malts are pure, then switches radically to a delightfully grassy hoppy finish. Fresh from the farm taste. Balanced and sessionable, I really like this approach.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2010 Cask at Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a white head. I find myself on the verge of a definition for the aroma. Ginger, flour, vinegar, tarragon all ran through my head. Bready malt taste with some sourness and a nettly prickle of fizz. Interesting, enjoyable beer from a decent local brewery. 13.12.10 Same location. Less good. Probably past its best. Whiff of sulphur. Definitely a nettly taste. Rating:3,3,6,4,10:2.6

Hop aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and pale with a crisp and slightly bitter grainy malt finish.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton A golden beer with a white head and a little lace. The aroam has lemony notes but also a little diaectyl. Biscuity malts in the mouth together with those lemony hops and that diacetyl again. Its’ a fairly respectable beer but would be better without the diacetyl.
