17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 13, 2008 Pours a murky light sunburst yellow/orange with a small creamy white froth on top. Strong citrus aroma, peaches, huge lemon with some orange, lots of ginger and some coriander. Flavor of pepper, orange, coriander, ginger, clove, licorice... yeah white pepper is a good descriptor. I like it, its different. Good body for a wheat, medium/light and very crisp. This is a fall beer for sure... spicy... a lighter alternative to pumpkin brews. I like this beer... unique. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA Sep 12, 2008 Aroma is like a typical lager, but richer and with a hint of citrus. Color is clear and straw-yellow, a little darker than most lagers and more appetizing. Flavor is typical except that there an interesting sour taste, not unpleasant at all, a bit lemony. Texture is very smooth and just a teeny bit thin, but still this is a tasty and refreshing beer. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Sep 12, 2008 20080912 Bomber from Spirits on Sunset. Hazed pale gold with quick white head. Looks like a wit. Aroma is spicy, ginger, fresh banana pepper. Big ginger flavor and some lemon notes atop a crisp lager. Tingly eff. Quick refreshing finish. Arayaga2 (933), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2008 Pale yellow with huge, dimpled white head. Nice ginger, coriander and honey nose turns strong on the tongue. Prominent ginger with a lemony bitterness... almost lemongrassy. $5/22oz moelikebeer (219), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 10, 2008 Bottle. Light cloudy yellow pour. Aroma of ginger and other spices. Flavor of oregano, ginger and clove. Very unique beer! iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 9, 2008 22oz bomber, no date from LilBeerDoctor, thank you Margaret! Slightly hazy yellow golden with a one and a half finger white head, fair retention. Spicy ginger and anise aroma up front with some spicy and sweet coriander and grain in the backend. Interesting, to say the least. Flavor adds some more earthy anise, though the ginger is dominant. The coriander hovers in the background more than it did in the aroma. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness peaking around a 2. That said, the overall flavor was a little muted compared to what the aroma was--which isn’t to say that the aroma was huge, either. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Not too bad, and an interesting beer. TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Hazy gold. Tall fizzy, fading white head. Nose is ginger, clove, coriander, yeast notes, citrus, and grains. Taste bring out more ginger, lemon, honey, clove, strong wheat, yeast and citrus fruit (mainly lemon but a touch of lime as well). Body is light but very fizzy and uber-carbonated. The finish is a touch more bitter with stronger yeast, grains, more lemon, clove, ginger, honey and coriander. Like a gingery witbier. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 4, 2008 pale straw-gold pour. Foamy white head and no lace. Cloves and lemon on the nose. Grass, citrus, and ginger.
