tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 17, 2009 Lemon, lime, meringue and cinnamon in the nose with plenty of smooth underlying wheat character. Aroma is quite sweet. Hazy golden-tan body is topped by a fizzy white head that diminishes to a slight cover rapidly. Banana and lemon along with nondescript spiciness and plenty of wheat flavour. Watery texture with somewhat short-lived carbonation. Snifter. Cellar temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek in Aug-09. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Sep 7, 2009 bottle. Pours a light yellow. Fairly high carbonation. Spritzy, citrusy, lime aroma. Taste was almost soapy. Lots of lime & lime zest. Too citrusy here. Wouldnt go back thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 3, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated yellow colored body. The weak aroma was spicy. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong fruity aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild hops and spices. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 26, 2009 Bottle at Chris-o’s Pre GBBF tasting and 2009 ... golden ... spiced hop nose .. grainy sweet lemon grassy hop. beerbill (1918), Laurel, New York, USA Aug 22, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours a pale gold with a white head. Pleasant aroma of ginger with some fennel detected on the nose as well. The flavor is similar although not quite as distinctive as the aroma. A bit spritzy on the palate. An interesting beer, although probably not something I would frequent on a regular basis. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Aug 20, 2009 (bottle). Cloudy, dark yellow color with particles floating. Medium white head. Spicy ginger aroma and flavor. Avg duration. Smooth finish with lasting spiciness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonaiton. Fair lacing. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Aug 16, 2009 Pale yellow with a small white head. Strong spicy aroma with cardemum, pepper and anise. Sweet, fruity and spicy flavour. Ewww. Too much yemenmocha (344), Glendale, Arizona, USA Aug 12, 2009 Pours slightly hazy pale golden color with thick, white head with a few dollops here and there. Nose is light and with the coriander it suggest something more familiar such as a Belgian wheat. On the palate the impressions of an ale rather than a lager are seen, perhaps it’s just the association with these spices to another style, but it is rather soft with some gentle fruit in there... again, an ale.
