Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA May 20, 2009 Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma is of spices, slight citrus hops and some yeast. Flavor is ginger, and some other spices, with some wheat and citrus hops. Overall a pretty interesting brew. michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 15, 2009 22oz. Bottle: Aroma of mint, funky yeast, menthol, fresh rubber, and slight white pepper. Poured yellow in color with a small white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is sweet and gross. Tastes of yeast, mint, menthol, and corn. Medium body. Lightly sticky texture. Average carbonation. Minty corn finish. TERRIBLE. Drain pour. aaronhaywood (74), Kansas City, Missouri, USA May 11, 2009 Pours orange. If someone didn’t show me the bottle I would have thought it was a wheat. Was interesting to taste spices in a lager for a pleasant change. Would drink again. Very cool bottle too. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 11, 2009 Bottle. Looks marvelous! Dark yellow, almost orange. Steady carbonation and a good fluffy head. Weird spice aroma took me by surprise. Smells like nutmeg or hard spice and the flavour is even stronger. The dark spice is hard to take at first in what looks like a wheat beer. A bit chalky. A you get into there is more lemon and banana to mix with the spice. Kind of like a pepper lemon-banana creamsicle. Unique in a missed the target kind of way. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA May 8, 2009 Cloudy yellow. Aroma is milky, wheaty and soapy. Flavors are lemon, a little mint and wheat, with a fairly thick mouthfeel. robforbes (1083), Bremerton, Washington, USA Apr 19, 2009 pours a cloudy yellow with a thin egg-shell head, and some lacing.
smell is of spice, some wheat, and a touch of citrus.
taste is of ginger, spice, appricot, wheat, and light hops. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Apr 12, 2009 Pours a white head with a cloudy golden body. Smells of clove and white pepper. Tastes musky and of clove. Thought it was a weird. McGarnigle (303), Rochester, New York, USA Apr 4, 2009 Bomber. Pale yellow, slight haze, pure white head. Body is on the light side and more lager-like than hefe or wit like. As others point out, there isn’t enough malt backbone here. More spice than orange peel citrus. Not bitter, but still some hop grassiness and dryness. Crisp. Interesting and not unpleasant, but mostly I’d rather drink a white ale.
