BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA Feb 12, 2009 22oz. bottle from Pristine Liquors in Spring Hill, FL. Pours a nice cloudy, golden-yellow. Medium white head...an extra point for the sweet bottle! Aroma is citrus fruits (mostly grapefruit), yeast, nice spices...aroma similar to a belgian strong (duvel or tremens). Flavor is definately a bit light...but whats there is really nice...Mostly yeasty with some nice spicy and citrus notes. Very light mouthfeel...but not really an aftertaste so thats nice, pretty smooth. Overall, this is a very drinkable beer...Theres not a ton there...but its better than Blue Moon or Sam Adams Boston Lager... timsilvia32 (445), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA Feb 8, 2009 22oz bottle. Poured quite clean golden, some sediment. Large white foamy head. Floral aromas, some hop, mild spice of some sort. Kind of pale, kind of white ale flavors of citrus with a small almount of sweetness, malt and sugar. I can’t put my finger on the spices, coriander and ginger maybe, but rather nondescript. Very carbonated mouthfeel. Light bodied, but filling from the carbonation. Seemed drinkable until I realized I still had half of it left. Not quite sure what to make of this one.... Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Feb 6, 2009 Cloudy yellow beer with a small white head. Smells spicy like a wit with a different yeast presence. The flavor is odd in that it’s grassy like a lager and spicy like a witbier. Decent. Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Feb 3, 2009 Cloudy dark yellow, loose lacy white head. Spicy, with notes of white wine in the aroma. Odd flavor - Champaigne, rosemary nd rose petals - maybe some bay leaves, too? Whatever it is, I liked it. 6ROW (243), corpus christi, Texas, USA Jan 26, 2009 cloudy white yellow pour with a 2 finger head.complex spice, citrus and yeast flavor
this is a great example of a belgium white beer Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jan 25, 2009 Purchased a single 22-oz bomber from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-hazy golden blonde brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, some grassy hops, lemon, a hint of ginger, and some spice. Taste is medium bodied, a little gritty with flavors of ginger, golden grain malt, lemon zest and a touch of pepper. Finish has a very light bitterness that quickly disappears. SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Jan 11, 2009 Slightly hazy lemon yellow body with a lasting, average -sized white head.
Floral lemon and ginger aroma.
Light, lemony, tangy, zesty.
Spritzy light body Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jan 7, 2009 Floral, tart, chemical, spiced peach aroma. Cloudy lemon yellow, thin white chainmail head. Decent label, though it would inspire a million jokes by Beavis and Butthead. Surprisingly dry, tart, lightly astringent, peppery, a little anise a little tangerine peel. Tastes somewhat primitive and medicinal, like gruit, or a brew otherwise bittered with something other than hops. Medium-light body, fizzy. Flowry finish. No way I’d pay for another one. MSL Killearn.
