Poured clear, very pale golden with lots of rising carbonation and a fizzy cap of white head. The aroma was decidedly spicy, but I had trouble placing ’em.. some mint, spruce, and jasmine perhaps?.. sweet backing of pale malts and honeysuckle.. interesting. The flavor followed suit with bright, lively spices first and foremost (think I may be on to something with the spruce).. minty and refreshing finish.. pale backing left a little honey at the end. Medium-bodied and again spicy on the palate.. high carbonation made it a little hard to drink at times.. still quite an experience overall. HighlanderOne (541), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Poured from bottle. Wheat, nutmeg, grape in the aroma. Cloudy white, persistent head. Pepper, nutmeg, basil, vanilla, banana, and other undetermined spices and herbs in the flavor. Borders on being medissimal. Watery feel - could use more malt. A bit hairy at the end. Needs refinement. JPDIPSO (4898), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Light hazy straw color with a dissipating white head. With a little more observation the haze is more small particles in suspension that do not seem to be disturbed by the bubbles rising up through. Aromas of wheat, vanilla and light spice. Scents of a somewhat boring morning bun. Quite zippy in feel, nearly too much so. Hints of wheat with a rather abrupt switch to white pepper. A very light Blonde ale with a dose of spices. This seems well suited for a hot summer day. Still could use a bit more backbone. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. The bottle had a 2-inch layer of yeast at the bottom. Hazy amber beer with a cream colored head. Mineral and light spice aroma with a bit of dirt. Strange ginger spice flavor with malt and some pineapple. Medium body. Pineapple lingers with mineral notes, grain, and ginger. WISEGUY572 (1245), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy light to medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of chemicals (household cleaning products), orange/lemon zest, spruce/juniper.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.
The spices yield a chemical-like odor that is not very pleasant. Could be worse, but it’s difficult to enjoy. rocbyter (914), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

Flowery taste in the beginning fading to a light malt finish. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 9, 2008 22 oz bottle from Wine King in Wall. Pours a thin hazy light straw color with a large but quickly receding bubbly fizzy head. The thin body combined with hazy pale straw color makes this one look like a cross between dish water and stale beer. Aroma starts off with a combination of wet hay, earth and lemon juice. As the aroma develops spices begin to emerge, anise and mint over some grains.Palate is overly forced carbonation on top a watery body and leaves no aftertaste, which in this case is probably a good thing. Flavor is really lacking especially after all those....ahem...."interesting" aromas. What there is to taste is some weak boring cereal grains and a slight lemon aftertaste. I wasn’t expecting much from this beer but definitely more then this.
