Slightly hazy yellow golden with a one and a half finger white head, fair retention. Spicy ginger and anise aroma up front with some spicy and sweet coriander and grain in the backend. Interesting, to say the least. Flavor adds some more earthy anise, though the ginger is dominant. The coriander hovers in the background more than it did in the aroma. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness peaking around a 2. That said, the overall flavor was a little muted compared to what the aroma was--which isn’t to say that the aroma was huge, either. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Not too bad, and an interesting beer. TheBeerGod (3147), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. Hazy gold. Tall fizzy, fading white head. Nose is ginger, clove, coriander, yeast notes, citrus, and grains. Taste bring out more ginger, lemon, honey, clove, strong wheat, yeast and citrus fruit (mainly lemon but a touch of lime as well). Body is light but very fizzy and uber-carbonated. The finish is a touch more bitter with stronger yeast, grains, more lemon, clove, ginger, honey and coriander. Like a gingery witbier. ucusty (1882), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2008 Poured from a 22oz bomber and served in a shaker. This beer poured a lightly hazy pale yellow with a foamy off-white head. Not much lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of strong grassy notes, pepper, cloves, and light lemon. The flavor consisted of grass, light citrus, some cooling menthol, and spicy cloves. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and highly carbonated. An easy-drinking lager with a spicy/minty twist. Decent. Aroma is ginger, clove, grassy hop. Flavour comes through with ginger, light malt, and some straw and minty-herbal hop.
Not bad. bdigital (586), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2008 Bottle: Pale yellow pour with a pillow-like white head. Light citrus, orange zest, wheat malts, banana and a very strong spice tone that I can’t make out. Crisp body with lively carbonation...flavors consist of belgian yeast, bubblegum and an almost mint-like herbally backdrop. Very strange brew but good at the same time. riversideAK (2713), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Bottle. Aroma is very complex with corriander, ginger, lemon, fruity clove and banana, and some spices which could not be named. The ginger and lemon, to me were the most dominant aspects of the brew. It poured a light yellowish with a huge head. The beer also gushed a bit, but it settled quickly. Flavors of corriander, spice, lemon, and a ton of ginger. Soft yet complex, it finishes rather clean and light with a good bit of lingering ginger cleanliness on the palate. unclemattie (2410), Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2008 22oz bottle. Hazy and bright yellow. Pure-white foamy head. Herbal, spice aroma. Ginger, clove, mint, sleepytime tea. Kinda reminds me of the hugest spool of cotton candy. Flavor is of lemon, lavendar and some corriander. Very herbal. Nice full malt character. Mellow carbonation. Light bodied, full flavored. Surprizingly good. Overall, an overly spiced/herbal Belgian Wit.
