Subpar effort full of spices, (barbecue curry type tasting) that donít belong here. Not a horrible summer session, but there are three more seasons. Sorry Olde Saratoga, this oneís a miss for me. 2009 22 oz.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. bottle in a shaker. Hazy golden pour with no head. Surprising for what appears to be a hefeweizen. Mild sweet aroma with a hint of citrus. Nothing special. Tastes like your average wheat beer with a hint of spice. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy golden-yellow with a white head. Aroma is spicy, light, little bit of malts. Sharp taste, malty, with spices, fruits and a nice hoppy, citrusy finish.

Had this in the bottle, poured into a pint glass in Houston, TX. White ale with an aroma of hops and malts; spice and citrus on the taste buds.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours a hazy yellow color with a decent white head. There is virtually no lacing and medium carbonation
There is some citrus notes and a good spiciness. It feels like a strong white pepper smell
The flavor has some citrus from the lemon and orange areaís,white pepper. To be honest this feels very out of sorts. The flavor profile is hugely dominated by an over powering spiciness.
It finishes with a lingering spiciness. This is called a lager but it would fit more into a wit beer style. Maybe a hybrid wit. Best thing about this beer is the label is pretty cool.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber emblazoned with a creepy-ass dude, a goth seductress and one phallic-as-hell snake. Hazy yellow with a subdued head. Aroma is extremely spicy with licorice dominating, maybe some soft citrus in the background. Flavor is all about the spice, with an almost minty character at the forefront. The adjunct spice overpowers the typical clove esters of a white. Refreshing mouthfeel, and a nice change of pace, but a little too unbalanced.

This is a strange beer.
Light straw/gold color with a fleeting head. There is a weird combination of citrus and spice in the aroma. I could detect what smells like cinnamon, lemon peel, and some other unidentifiables. Iím still not sure what to make of the taste. My brain tells me to think witbier or something along those lines, but not quite. I canít say I hated it, but I donít plan on drinking more of them in the future.

"Worst beer Iíve ever tasted," one of my drinking partners said. Anise is no good in anything, much less beer. Tastes like the spray they use to sanitize the shoes in a bowling alley. Itís lagery but sour, astringent with a slight citrus. Too much spice but no beer taste.

Bottle. Light cloudy yellow pour. Aroma of ginger and other spices. Flavor of oregano, ginger and clove. Very unique beer!
