Pours a hazy amber with a nice rocky head. Smells of lemon, coriander, crisp malt. Tastes dry with a nice coriander/citrus undertone. Finishes dry and semi sweet. A wonderful beer!

Presentation: It was sampled from a brown 1pt. 6oz bottle and poured into a pint glass. Appearance: It has a hazy pale yellow color with lots of super tiny yeast partials floating in it. Up top sits a small one finger thick dull white head. It is thick, creamy and long lasting. This hang time makes for lots of slick spotty lacing all the way down the glass as I drink. Smell: The aroma has an odd but pleasant sweet spicy character like ginger and black liquorish. There are no hints of hops, just spice and maybe some light malt. Taste/Palate: There is a light malt base with a mix of citrus notes, black liquorish/fennel, light ginger notes and some hops. The hops have a complementary spicy, earthy and lightly floral quality it them. The finish is dry with a cool touch of spice lingering on the tongue. The carbonation is light but still quite active on the palate giving it a smooth slick texture. Notes: This beer just has an interesting flavor to me and good balance. I think this would be a nice beer to par with lamb or pasta with Italian sausage in the sauce.

The first thing that hit me were the spices; particularly the fennel...A tasty, malty brew which was smooth in spite of the bite of the spices.

Lemony smell and a murky orange color. Thin lacing of the head. Nice easy taste with a little bit of pop on the palate. Finishes cleanly and is actually very refreshing!

hzy-stw, ^witbierish, ^guava(maybe passionfruit too), malts and hops are negligable, pretty good as apertif or with the right seafood or chicken dish.

according to “Speaking of Beer” interview with Zack Davis: this is the only white lager brewed in the US (as of May 2009); brewed with corriander, orange peel, fennel, and ginger.

Lovely spicy and faint hoppy nose. Cloudy white appearance that looks like a wheat beer. In the mouth there’s a mix on hops and spices that refresh the drinker on those hot summer days.

Pint glass from bottle. A: carrot and cinnamon with slight ginger. App: medium golden with a 2 finger creamy, white head with nice lacing. T: pine, apricot, honey, lavender, lemon grass, and slight anise (licorice). P: low bubbles, but smooth and medium linger of slight ginger. Not my taste preference, but for the style, is very, very well done.

pours a near white with a cloudy appearance under a huge frothy white head. interesting peppery, ginger, nutmeg aroma. flavor has strong nutmeg notes with notes of pepper and ginger also. light bodied. flavor fades quickly after swallowing which is my only complaint, but it works. not exactly dry though. a hint of lemon in finish. these guys are doing an awesome job. i like this a lot!

bottle: pours a nice hazy golden hay colour with a giant white head. aroma is good with plenty of spices clean smelling spices nothing to muddled ginger, clove, maybe eve a touch of nutmeg, also get some nice sweet candy like malts adn wheat very pleasant quick wiff of lemon too. its almost like a lemon spiced pie. the flavour is nice an lite nothing overpowering the spices show themselves but dont over do it, the wheat then fades in to give a good malt background, finishes is a touch bitter with a slight peppery herbness this beer is very well done and nicde to drink.
