Pours a vibrant ruby red color with a very foamy, very pink head. Looks like Lindeman’s Framboise, but smells and tastes like Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest. Nice flavor with a good mix between the malt and hops. BrewDad (2366), Olympia, Washington, USA

Aroma: Has some Marzen like qualities butt he color throws you big time.
Appearance: Red like a cream soda in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor: Has some Marzen like flavors also the malt is light but he hops do not come through This was hard to drink.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Nice Mouthfeel.
Overall: Interesting brew this just does not hit the mark and the coloring really throws you.

When I first saw it coming out of the bottle. I was a beautiful malt bomb. It actually scared me! Then I busted up laughing. Thanks Jeremy. A moment to remember. Sweet honey malt with depth. Good but not great. One of my favorite breweries. Great Halloween beer. If you understand Jeremy’s humor. Then you can appreciate this beer. pantani (1896), Salinas, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Red with a pink head. Aroma is lightly malty, caramel, beet sugar. Taste is an odd maltiness, odd bitterness, still getting a beet like sweetness. VitaminR (428), Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Chalk and spice on the nose. Brilliant, clear, blood red with a super foamy pink head. Sweet soft honey and malt, some spice, big bitter bite. Big carbonation, medium body, fairly long mild hoppy finish with some alcohol warmth. Structure is solid, undecided on the red color factor…I guess it is fun and different, and since it is delivered in a pretty good beer—what the hell?!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottle at Magoos. Really interesting and certainly not a Marzen or Oktoberfest. Freaky red soda pop color, with a really big head. Slight hint of malt odor and maybe mostly like a hopped belgian. How about campari and soda, with a very dry hop tatste throughout. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 30, 2009 22 oz. bottle from Whole Foods on Ponce De Leon. Oh shit, someone died in the fermenter! I don’t know why anyone would replace beer with blood, but that is a bit sadistic. Seriously, as others have said it looks like carbonated fruit juice. I think it is nice twist on the appearance, but it really doesn’t add anything to the beer. Has a very faint malt aroma. Not much of an aroma on this one. Oh look, the ABV is 6.66! What a very crafty beer! Blah, what the hell is up with this thing. Has a hop flavor, but beyond that there is just carbonated nothing. I am not a fan of pouring out beer no matter what the circumstance(s), but they shouldn’t test me on this one. Other than the slight malt flavor as well, this beer is what I call crap. Please don’t try and make a marzen lager interesting if it is going to suck badly.
