3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours yields a ruby garnet with a thin pinkish frothy head on top. Looks like cranberry ginger ale. The nose is sweet with notes of strawberry, pale fruit quality, but closes out with a musty veggie scent. Crisp mouth. Good carbonation, finishes clean. The musty character carries over to the flavor as there is a dank "old" flavor that pervades this beer. Flavors of beets, cherry medicine, mild fruits, touch of bitterness on the back end. This beer sure was an oddity. Not sure I would venture here again, but not so offputting that I wouldn’t have another if offered. I’ll stick to my true fall-beers, thank you.

The nose on this is nice. Pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, clove, and espresso beans. The pour is decent with a tiny head that doesn't last. The taste is interesting. It's way more acidic than I figured it would be. Maybe a bad bottle? There's pumpkin and espresso with some sweetness and some sourness. Pretty middle of the road. Worth a look to break up the usual pumpkin beers.

IT IS RED! I was not prepared or that. Head is pink. Aroma of malt and wet blanket. Taste has some bitterness with not hop character. Malt character is a little like an under attenuated home brew. It is drinkable and the label is cool but the redness does nothing for me.

Rated from notes taken 14 Sep 2011 -- Sampled at an Oktoberfest sampling. The color was very cool, but didn’t overcome the fact that this is only a mediocre beer.

Bottle to a shaker glass. Pours a copper color with a while head that is sparse, and dissipates quickly. Nose is sweet, and you can smell espresso beans. Flavor is similar to nose, and it is a sweet October fest, and the beans come across good. Not too bad.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish with a pinkish head. Taste sweet, caramel. I thought this was ok. I would not drink this again.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Copper color with thin white head. Strange and mild perfume of espresso (diner quality), mild all spice and stewed fall veggies. Taste is bitter and sweet, in uneven turns. Must and espresso. Some spice on finish. Sweet malts. Better than a straight up pumpkin beers, but not a finished product. Yikes.

(bottle - 12 oz) Reddish pour with a pink head. Vegetal and sour aroma. Some malts maybe. Flavor is rancid and overly sweet. Just wrong.

Well the red copperish colour certainly makes this an appropriate Halloween beer. Medium pink hued head that dissipates fairly quickly. Sweet malty aroma. Caramel body, bit acidic. Looked good for the day but overall not great.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer pours blood red and has clarity. It forms a one inch tall, pinkish head on top. It is light and soapy which makes for a quick fade to a light ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is kind of candy sweet with a mix of muddled hops. There is a nice mix of sweet candy like, bready and lightly toasted malts with a decent balance of hops. The hops offer an odd muddled mix of leafy, earthy and herbal spice notes with just a hint of citrus in there too. The palate has about a medium body with an average carbonation and mouth feel.
