Draft at Dexters. Deep brown-black, with a steady thick beige head. Soem kind of alien aroma, bourbon, cognac, licorice, sour fruit. An odd beer, I certainly get a sour taste, Oud Bruin-like. Definitely a WTF kind of beer, at this point a big dark sour. OK.

Sour cherry red ale on aroma. Sweet and sour at the same time on palate. Confusing, intriguing, excellent.

A - Served a brown red color with just a thin ring of head, which leaves a touch of lace behind as it fades.
S - Aroma is full of sour cherries with some oak and bourbon. There is a bit of caramel malt and some nuttiness as well.
T - Starts off with some sweet and lightly sour cherries with some Bourbon and oak flavor. Through the middle, some sweet caramel and nutty flavors come through with a bit of funky yeast character and some vanilla. The finish is a mix of lingering tart cherry sourness with some oak, bourbon, and booze.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a warming and tart finish.
D - Very drinkable. Good mix of flavors that really blended together nicely with the barrel characteristics.

Appearance dark brown with medium fine , off white top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied. low carbonation. Hint of cola, brown sugars, side of alcohol. Slight fruity hint of fig, plum. Some harshness on top end.

Aroma: It has a dry, somewhat wine-like, slightly sour nose, with a little wood and dark fruit
Appearance: This one poured a brown color with a small, lasting beige head and light lacing
Flavor: It has some Belgian yeast, a little funk, hints of wood, and some raisin/dark fruity flavors
Palate: The body is on the medium side, and though it feels a bit muddled, it drinks alright
Overall Impression:
I wasn’t particularly impressed by this one. I still found it to be decent, but mostly, I thought it was a bit too confused, and it just didn’t seem to have any real direction. I wouldn’t rush back.

Reddish brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of wine, vanilla, brett, caramel, and light alcohol. Taste of red wine, vanilla, citrus, grass, toast, and light tartness in the finish.

On tap at Urge. Dark reddish brown with a creamy tan head. Big caramel apple and sour fruit aroma and taste with a tart candy finish.

On tap @ RnH w Erica, James, Paul, Jess, Christian, Jared and Rachel. Pour is deep red with a medium off-white head. Smell is acidic and sour. Flavor is sour and everything else is muted, but moderate tartness and smooth mouthfeel are enough to make this good. Very little spice, or it’s overpowered. Not complex.
