How I Spent My Christmas: Big bomber. Pours a somewhat hazy copper color, thick head, great lacing. Aroma is bread and malt, with some banana notes. Flavor is a robust mix of malt and yeast, with some caramel notes. There is a strong alcohol undertone as well, and at the end I pick up something that reminds me of olive oil. Not too bad.

Bomber from Wines & More in Milford CT. Poured into a snifter. A very dark brown brew with a frothy tan head that settles to a thin lace. Sweet, earthy aromas. Flavor is sweet and thick of earthy chocolate, fig, coffee and licorice notes. Quite boozy. Lingering coffee notes.

Bready as a doppelbock should be, maybe with a little more extra spiced quality that doesn’t really fit...but is not altogether unpleasant either. Medium bodied and malty, a touch below average for a style I like, but enjoyed.

Bottle. deep red-orange pour with a nice tan head. Dark fruit, caramel, quite malty in both flavour and aroma. Quite boozy throughout. medium-heady body with a warming finish.

The body is deep rich reddish orange amber color with good clarity. The head is light tan in color, thick and slow fading. On the way down the glass as I sip it leaves behind nice lace rings. In the nose I pick up a big sweet malty bomb with a heavy boozy resiny pine character as well. On the tongue there is bold malty grain sweetness with some fruit notes and deep boozy warmth. Hop flavor is right up there as well with resiny pine and citrus oil like flavor. Hop bitterness slowly cuts through malt sweetness and lingers on in the finish. Its palate has a thick full body and texture with light muted carbonation.

Cloudy honey brown color, him yellow foam, small soft bubbles. Aroma of toasted malt, corn, alcohol, yeast, spices and sugar. Taste is harsh on the tongue. Carbonation is medium. Alcohol disguised quite well. A nice lager.

From a 1 pint bottle. Strong malty aroma with rich roasted flavours and a hint of hops. It is a beer to be savoured with it’s strong alcohol content and warming flavour.

Aroma is a rich malt character with some caramel notes and floral hops. Taste is a rich maltiness with a fruity taste and slight liquor snap on the tip. Well balanced malt and hop finish. Clear dark amber body with a creamy head with good retention.

Pours a clear amber color with a white head. Head dissipates quickly andeaves very little lace. Smells of faint malt and booze. Tastes of booze right away then the sweetness of malts hits then finishes with booze. Am disappointed as I expected more from this beer.

An ok bock, extremely boozy. Pours a beautiful red with a thick tan head. Smells nice overall, a bit of banana, clove, herb and malt. Taste however, is like malt liquor, can't taste anything past malt and alcohol. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cream colored head, fading slowly. Aromas of malt and slight orange. Taste caramel and fruit, a bit sweet, slightly hoppy finish. Lightly carbonated.
