650 ml bottle from BOTW, Rochester (on sale!), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: An attractive shade of clear copper with a so-so off-white head. Aroma: Caramel, brown sugar, apples and other fruitiness, a little piney/grassy hops, a touch earthy and musty. Palate: Medium body and fairly full carbonation. Flav.: The hop flavours dominate: earthy and musty, a bit piney and grassy, then some lighter brown and burnt sugars, some biscuit and bread scrust, a touch nutty, not very fruity; dry with a bit of bitterness.

Haven’t had enough Viennas to judge adherence to style. Doesn’t do much for me as a beer

Bottle. Aroma is caramel sweet with resiny/piney hop notes and subdued grain character. Clear amber, good color for style. Mostly fruity/caramel sweet flavor with light hop presence. Too sweet in the middle but finishes dry. A bit muddled, and not a great interpretation of the style in my opinion. Nonetheless, fairly drinkable.

hazy appearance, aroma of bread, lightly bitter, light body, average carbonation, tastes pretty much like similar lagers of this style.

Aroma of malts and spice. Pours amber with a decent head. Tastes of malts, yeast and not much else. Mouthfeel is kind of harsh without being alcoholic. Meh.

12 oz bottle from the sampler case. All the advertising hype got to me so I bought the case only to find this mediocre lager in the quantity of six (five more than I wanted after tasting) Runs to the bitter with nothing remarkable to note. Save your dollars and invest elsewhere.

Overall is so high because of the drinkability. Crisp refreshing lager that was enjoyable to just kick back and enjoy. A great lawnmower beer.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, caramel), moderately hoppy (apricot, flowers, orange/grapefruit), with a light note of black tea. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Reasonably nice, if simple, aroma followed by an uncomfortably sweet and syrupy mouth experience. Sweetness lingers long after the swallow, and is only barely managed by bitterness. Ho hum overall.
