COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dry hopped American Rye Pilsener. Obey the siren song of the mythological Coney Island Mermaid. Four spicy hops flow into seven golden malts. Perfect as a momentary distraction, or equally enchanting as a parade towards deeper delights. When beer tastes this good, and you don’t have scurvy, you don’t need a lime!

ROGUE (2145) - Newark, Delaware, USA - SEP 15, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. Smell has light maltiness with a grainy, bready presence that is rounded out with hints of caramel and rye. The taste is spicy, bready grains, sweet honeyed malt, balanced with a earthy, grassy, floral hoppiness. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, and a clean crisp dry finish.

Beaver (1443) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet malt, a little vegetal, with some earthy metallic bitterness.

The flavor is some sweet bready malts with grassy noble hop bitterness in the finish. A little rye comes out as it warms. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with spritzy carbonation.

Overall, an OK pils.

Bomber from BOTW (Rochester), shared with GRM and Lubiere, served cold in a tulip glass. 05AU11.

App.: Clear very deep golden/light amber with a white rim. Aroma: A good whiff of apple juice, grainy, dusty, other vague fruits, sort of an odd bitter note, maybe lightly floral and perfumed, slight spiciness, a bit tight. Palate: Medium body and effervescence. Flav.: Quite fruity, perfumed, a bit of rye spiciness, some floral hops, grainy, almost mashy, cooked cereal, better than the nose, dry with decent bitterness and a perfumed, apple finish.

The aroma is malty, hoppy, and slightly yeasty. There are notes of biscuits, corn, flowers, soap, and cake. The appearance is golden with a large head. The taste is pretty simple with just bitter hops and bread like malt. The palate is average. Overall a pretty good beer but not wonderful.
