Mermaids, those mysterious aquatic lovelies, have popped up all over the world in legend since 1000 BC. No scientific evidence has ever surfaced to support their existence, but we’re not ones to argue with folklore.

Lucent gold, thin white head, medium body, medium-high carnation.

Aroma: hay, pale malt, herbal noble hops.

Taste: hay, herbal noble hops, pale malt, and bready yeast.

IMO, more of a pale ale with german hops than a pilsner.

From a bottle acquired at beermuda in new ken. Smells pilzy and a little veggie on the pop. Some pilsner bite on the first taste. Much less bite than stronger pilsners so its a little enjoyable even tho it does have a definate beer personality. Pale colored and medium pilsner finish. Decent beer experience.

(Sample Date: 5/19/2010 Source:Commercial Taphouse) Light spicy hop aroma. Very slight chill haze orange golden with small white head. Medium body and mouth. Moderately fruity with pineapple citrus hop notes. Pilsner with a American hop profile. Okay.

If I hadn’t been perusing the tap list for a new tick, I probably wouldn’t’ve found this beer, and that would’ve been a shame. Very enjoyable. Spicy and sweet, with an odd flavor I couldn’t quite pinpoint. I see here that rye was involved, so I suppose that could explain it. Very tasty beer.

The Half Pint, NY ($6): Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma of grain, hops, and some sweetness. This is certainly no super dry German pilsener (even though it was dry-hopped), instead it was somewhat sweet (no surprise that a lot of people are speculating about the corn... but maybe it was the rye). There is moderate hops, but not in a really interesting way. I mean it is a very drinkable beer, which is not at all offensive, but then again not all that great.

Draught. Poured a cloudy yellow gold. Mild head. Hops arma and dominates the taste.

Location: Draft at the Rattle ‘n Hum, 10/8/10

Aroma: The nose has some crackers, lemon, herbs, yeast, and floral notes
Appearance: This is a clear golden colored beer with a nice white head and solid lace
Flavor: The taste is sweet malts, lemon, spice, and balanced by some floral hops
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a crisp "pils" feel to it and a good drinkability
Overall Impression: This turned out to be a pretty solid Pils. It has a nice look, and a decent flavor. Drinkable and somewhat enjoyable. Nothing special, but not lacking much either.

Pours a clear golden color. Aroma of grain, dough and caramel. Flavor is grain and grass. Very clean and smooth. Very refreshing. One of the best Pilseners I have tasted and I don’t like pilseners! This has a bit more hops and character than others.

This beer pours a chill hazed golden color. It has a tiny ring of head and some spotty lacing. There is some strong malt coming through on the nose and a hoppy spiciness The flavor is nice well balanced offering of various malts and hops. I am getting some light carmel. It does feel a little thin in some places. It finishes with a little dryness and a hop bitterness that tends to linger around awhile. I would have to say more of a bold pil than most. This is the best beer I have had from these guys. Worth a shot for sure.

A nice pilsener. Aroma was nice and hoppy with a spiciness to it. Pour was a nice cloudy medium gold with a 2 finger off white head. Taste was obviously American pilsener, but I’m not complaining. Sweet pils malt with a wet earhy hoppy aftertaste. Medium carbonation and a little thicker texture than I would like but decent nonetheless.
