COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dry hopped American Rye Pilsener. Obey the siren song of the mythological Coney Island Mermaid. Four spicy hops flow into seven golden malts. Perfect as a momentary distraction, or equally enchanting as a parade towards deeper delights. When beer tastes this good, and you don’t have scurvy, you don’t need a lime!

On draft at Coney Island, poured very cold into a big red cup. Cereal nose with a good amount of hops behind it. Taste had hops up front with a cereal finish. Kinda hard to review out of a plastic cup but is a beer I would order again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at my farewell to NY party at Blind Tiger. Clear gold pour with standard white head. Has a blend of diacetyl, farts, and wheat. Buttery and slightly grainy finish. Damn, this sucks.

Enjoyed with Adam whilst waiting in line at Fette Sau in Brooklyn. The beer is copper hued and transparent with a quarter inch of white head. Definitely smells like a pils. Nice and malty with a touch of hops in the finish. Nothing amazing, but fun to tick while I await my BBQ. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(12oz bottle thanks to blutt59) clear light gold, wispy white bubbles. Nose is funky, banana extract, some odd fruity/earthy flavors. Taste of earth, cracker, really buttery which takes away from it, funky, not my favorite.

Very slight chill haze. Light floral aroma. Light honey sweetness in the flavor. This lacks the bold noble hops of the best in the style but finishes with a moderate clean bitterness.

Aroma: Basic pilsner malt smell with a touch of breadiness App: Clear gold with a nice, medium white head for a pilsner. Not much lacing Taste: Sweet with some floral tasting hops, not very bitter. Can barely taste the rye. Palate: small lingering bitterness, nice effect

Draft at Cha Cha’s before the Furthur show. Aroma of rye, roasted corn, grass. High, prickly carbonation which carries the spicy rye and somewhat astringent hops very well. Very dry and hoppy finish. Great spicy rye palate. Works well.

12 oz bottle from the sampler case. Liked the label a whole lot but was somewhat disappointed overall. Nothing here is outstanding outside of a nice crisp taste on the nose and finish. Sure hope the rest of the sampler case is better.

Tap at Oblivion for Coney Island/Schmaltz day. Nose is rye, bread, pale malt, hay. Pour is golden with a white fluffy head. Taste is similar with tons of toasted rye, bread, and lightly bitter hops. Not bad for pils.

Proper glassware courtesy of Oblivion Taproom. Fuggin. Toasted rye is well integrated into the aroma, with hints of lemon and hops. The taste was light and crisp, some caramel and pineapple tickle the senses while fresh hops fill the mouth with a light dryness. The finish is dry as well, but the rye makes it much more enjoyable.
