Mermaids, those mysterious aquatic lovelies, have popped up all over the world in legend since 1000 BC. No scientific evidence has ever surfaced to support their existence, but we’re not ones to argue with folklore.

Crisp hop aroma, grassy, earthy hops with hints of a spiciness. Pours clear golden blonde with a very thick white head. Earthy bitter hops with grassy notes, solid bitterness, with hints of sweet malts lingering with a spicy dry finish. Very nice pils!

Draft at Ravenous Pig, Orlando. Straight biscuit malt in the aroma with light caramel. Flavor is caramel and grassy hops. This ain’t your momma’s pils. Pretty good.

12oz bottle. Dark amber with a light but lasting head. Aroma is herbal orange vanilla doughy melting pot that forms a common scent with a zesty citrus finish. Strong citrus hop bite and strong malt flavour. Strong citrus finish with a spruce side An IPL might be the cloest style comparison. India Pale Lager?

Clear yellow with minimal white head. I was immediately taken aback, in a good way, by the strong hop presence. Noble hops throughout with a clean malt/grain palate and crisp finish.

nice and refreshing it has the hop character and spiciness of an American dry hoppend rye brew. it is refreshing and just a touch sweet (MAYBE TWO TOUCHES). it has some of the characters of an American Pilsener just spill some and wait few minutes and give it a sniff. it" smells like an old bar but this beer is quite impressive otherwise. Grapefruit hops in the spicy Pils presence this is a real good session ale for the choosey. $4.99 for a 22 oz bottle at whole foods in Manhattan ? hey that’s schmaltz!

On tap at the Brass Tap in Wesley Chapel, FL. Pours up deep gold with off white head. The aroma is fresh grains, toffee and spiciness. The taste begins and continues with yummy spices, rye and then picking up malty grains, toffee and then a mix of caramel malts and lager-y yeast creating a butterscotch type feel.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy dark gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma of corn and light piney hops. Taste is light bitter. Pine hops and corn with a little bready malt. Light bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and an average finish. Overall, not bad. Would be a great beer for drinking outside in the summer.
