A dry hopped American Rye Pilsener. Obey the siren song of the mythological Coney Island Mermaid. Four spicy hops flow into seven golden malts. Perfect as a momentary distraction, or equally enchanting as a parade towards deeper delights. When beer tastes this good, and you don’t have scurvy, you don’t need a lime!

2009 Bottle of The Chosen Spot- Thanks Eyedrinkale! Pours clear orangeg with a small white head...aroma is full of rye spice and sweet citrus fruit, light hops and honey?...flavour is similar, sweet and grainy, much more rye in the nose than in the taste, but nicely fresh and bitter, sweet grass...finish is a bit hoppier and rounds it out nicely!

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting off white head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, carmel, light pine and light grapefruit zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, earthiness, orange zest, light grapefruit zest and a hint of pine with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.

If I hadn’t been perusing the tap list for a new tick, I probably wouldn’t’ve found this beer, and that would’ve been a shame. Very enjoyable. Spicy and sweet, with an odd flavor I couldn’t quite pinpoint. I see here that rye was involved, so I suppose that could explain it. Very tasty beer.

Pours a golden amber. It has notes of hops (spice and fruit) with on the nose and the palate. It has a good bitter hopped finish.

12 oz bottle. Surprisingly good pilsner. Light hops on the nose, but a nice hop bite and a clean finish. Well crafted, tasty. I don’t have anything else to say.

Pours cloudy gold with good effervescence & pillowy white head. Medium basement & hay aromas; medium-bodied with grain and hay flavors & malty ovetones but good effervesence. Nice balance, good finish. Not as crisp as some pilsners, but that’s probably why I like it.

355ml bottle. Another great colourful label that catches your eye straight up. Looks pretty solid when poured and carries a sliver of white foam and a hazy gold colour. Earthy aromas with a hint of spice and the flavour is not too bad for a pilsener. Musky and perfumey and dry in the mouth.

Bottle from the Coney Island variety pack. The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is bread and grass, with a strong amount of pilsner malt thrown in. The flavor is similar with a ton of lighter malts and a little bit of grass. The bitterness is fairly low and the beer is very easy to drink and quite refreshing. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Spicy grains and a hint of yeast in the aroma. The flavor is mildly spicy grains/malts, a hint of yeast and some hops in the finish.
