22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and pale malts plus some citrusy and floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad but nothing special.

Bottle on Amtrak Train 27 - The Empire Builder ( from Binny’s South Loop) - 05/11/12.
Clear golden with a thin off white head that retains well.
Sweet caramel malt on the nose, sour tropical fruits, bitter hops.
Tastes of caramel malt, popcorn, dark sugars, barley, grain, light citrus tones and a little sour grapefruit.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish.

It poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of sweet honey and some vanilla. The taste was sweet with a kick of bitterness. A decent Hop Lager.

golden color, straight forward hoppy strong pale ale. Decent body and decent bitterness.

Pours a slightly hazy dark golden/orange with a really decent rocky antique lace head. Aroma is toasted malt and a sour grassiness from the hops. Taste is a buttery sweet maltiness with a fairly substantial bitterness, once again brought on by the several hops used. Not getting any citrusiness like you’d expect from a load of hops like this, but it doesn’t really need it as it’s supposed to be an impy lager, not an IPA. Perhaps not my style, but pretty good nonetheless.

Bomber. Citrus and mild bitterness throughout. Malty fruit flavors in the background. Crisp finish.

1 pint 6 oz bottle very bitter and citrusy beer tastes just like it smells which isnt great , boozy and the finish is blah, disappointed to say the least wont buy again.

I followed the Coney island pilsner with this and was much more impressed. This had a lot more flavours (especially citrus notes) which made this a far more enjoyable beer. Great lager.

Yellow with a white head. Heavily carbonated, tons of citrus hops flavor with a bit of earthiness mixed in.
