Bottle. Pours yellow/orange with white head. Aroma of floral, herbal and malt. Flavor much the same with an earthy bitter. Medium body with high carbonation. Overall, not my first choice but ok.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma of bread, grass, and light citrus. The taste is lightly sweet and fruity with a fair bitterness. Medium bodied, pretty smooth, and a little dry. An excellent lager.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle from the sampler case. Liked the label a whole and my first impressions of the exotic hop gatherings came off well. For an experimental IPA lager this proved successful. Thanks to Schmaltz for working out the formula without bombarding us with the usual IPA hop overages.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a pint glass from a 22oz bomber.
Pours a clear medium copper with a thick one finger white head.
Aroma has some earthy hops along with a little bit of toasted caramel. A little bit of lemon and orange as well.
The flavor is heavy on the hops up front with some orange citrus but also quite a bit of earthyness. Some toasted malt is evident along with a little bit of cereal grain and caramel. A drying bitterness comes through about midway through and the finish is pretty clean with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden.
Overall, a unique take on an IPA and a lager and it is pulled off fairly well. Malt and hops could be a little bit smoother but this is something I would consider picking up again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
a strong aroma with citrus and hints of hops, not great. medium to light body with a bit of maltiness and a tiny bit of sweetness and toastiness. The finish is disappointing as the flavor of cascade hops overpowers(I don’t like cascade!)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bomber to glass; starting to like ipa’s but didn’t like this one - just seemed like a hop bomb; no balance - hops started quickly and ended bitterly; i will pass

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beer has a nice citrusy aroma. Flavor is nice and hoppy, and in balance with the malt. Nice beer overall.

Interesting, enjoyable brew. Cross between an IPA and Lager. Has nice citrus, raisin, hop notes with grainy characteristics as well. Not bad at all.
