Translucent copper with a dense bubbly beige head, creamy full body with medium carbonation.

Aroma: Lots of piney citrusy american hops, lots of sweet caramel malt, and a touch of yeasty minerality.

Taste: lots of sweet caramel toasted malt, leafy piney hop bitterness, fresh juicy citrus hop flavor, mellow yeast, and some slightly sour minerality.

Very hop-focused, but bitterness does not acumulate, and neither does sweetness and heaviness.

355ml bottle. Great name. great label and great beer. Citrus hop notes mixed with pine needles. Big and ballsy looking with a rocky foam cloud and a strong amber colour. The flavour is intense and lingers in the mouth. One to enjoy.

Had this one on a few occasions in Kansas, always bottled. Pours light orange, somewhat hazy. Medium body. Caramel character well balanced with the citrus hop flavor. Solid beer.

Poured slowly into centre of pint glass-creamy thick head for a lager that stuck around for a while-great lacing-beautiful gold amber coloring-notes of caramel toasty nutty aroma-very nice balance of malt and hops with a bitter finish-great beer

Bottle, gifted by my little brother. Pours hazy golden colour with a minimal white head. Sweet honey date aroma, and also body-shop kind of vanilla. taste starts sweet and innocent, a kick of bitterness follows. A little oily, sleek and carbonated. medium body, long, bitter finish. Weird beer but I liked it.

Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells of citrus, grassy, wildflowers, spice, dry malt, earthy. Tastes spicy and of caremel with some dry malty hints and some nice bitter hints on the finish. I’ve enjoyed this entire series so far and look forward to Freaktoberfest.

Dense, off-white head. Quite hazy, almost like a hefeweizen. Light amber color. Leaves bountiful lace after each sip. Displays nice balance in the nose. The hop has a touch of grapefruit to it. Inviting neutral pale malts. The flavor starts with slightly sweet, pale grain. This quickly gives to a spicy and bitter hop flavor. This lasts through the swallow and the long aftertaste. Full-bodied with an average level of carbonation. Afterthought, I’m surprised at the lower ratings for this beer. I find this APA to be well above average...superior really.

Pine, citrus, yeast and bread in aroma. The flavor is pine/hop bitterness, grains and a very dry finish. It definitely had an IPA flavor to it; an interesting and hoppy lager.

Dark gold body with a lightly off white head. The aroma was rich grapefruit and pine. A nice background of gingerbread backs up the hoppy character. The taste some grapefruit and notes of earthy root vegetables, parsnips, maybe. The finish is fairly spicy. One of the few very hoppy lagers that I really enjoyed.
