Bottle 650 ml
Appearance: Amber gold brew with thick creamy mid sized head. Slight haze.
Nose: Heavy aroma , toasty with strong caramel sweetness, spicy citric hop backing.
Flavor/Palate : Full bodied. Continuity of aroma. Caramel sweet malt spiced up with spiced hops of citric nature. Its set up works better if you compare to Coney Lager. More substance fills well making pleasant drinkable brew. Well done American rendering of strong lager.

Snifter from bottle. A: not very fragrant, ever-so-slight hops. App: bright gold with One finger white head and nice leading. T: slight bitterness on the front, malt balance comes through in the middle with a slight carmel essence, slight bitterness on the back. P: crisp, tight bubbles, exceptionally smooth, medium linger of bitterness.

12 oz bottle - pours light yellow with a medium head and good lacing. Has an aroma of pine (I think) and a taste of grains. Has a dry bitter finish.

Lot of hop-forward presence on this where it immediately hits the tongue and you get a citrus, perfume, pine flavor. Mellows out to a cookie, biscuit finish. A medium finish. Pours light golden with a nice head. Pretty good for a pre-going out beer.

Pine, citrus, yeast and bread in aroma. The flavor is pine/hop bitterness, grains and a very dry finish. It definitely had an IPA flavor to it; an interesting and hoppy lager.

22 oz bottle. Clear golden with a dense white head. Aroma of bread dough, toast, citrus and herbal tea. Flavor is bitter hops, clean malt and a light alcohol bite. Light body with average carbonation and a clean finish. Nice hybrid type beer, big hoppy lager.

Bottle from the Coney Island variety pack. The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of pine and orange citrus in it, as well as some biscuit malt. The flavor is fairly similar, with some pine and orange, with a light bit of resin thrown in. The bitterness is low because the biscuit malt adds a touch of sweetness to balance things out. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. This tastes about like an IPA, as expected from reading the label.

Chipalsa (704) - Florida, USA - MAY 2, 2012
This beer was very good for a lager, but the aroma hinted at a much more intense flavor. The aroma was light and complex; some spices, grassy notes, orange peel and floral hops. Flavors were a bit malt-forward with some toffee and bready flavors, but finished with a clean and dry hop finish. Incredibly drinkable, however, but just not TOO too special.

Pours a hazy honey color with 2-3 finger head that sustains itself leaving a moderate amount of lacing. Prominent piney hops with a little citrus. Toasted , bready malt. Medium bitterness, but very smooth. Thin to medium body with surprisingly little carbonation given the prominent head. Clean on the palate. Long bitter finish. Pretty tasty.

Had this one on a few occasions in Kansas, always bottled. Pours light orange, somewhat hazy. Medium body. Caramel character well balanced with the citrus hop flavor. Solid beer.
