Our flagship brew - dark and malty, crafted in an old style ale. Distinct caramel and chocolate aromas balance abundant hops creating a unique dusty cocoa mouthfeel.

(Tap) clear, bright amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of soy sauce, milk chocolate; balanced flavour, but with undertone of unpleasant harshness and chemical note; smooth palate

(En fût à la brasserie): Des fortes boursoufflures chocolatées, mélasse, métaux et menthe. Le corps est une fondue maltée, intéressant.

Brown pour at the AZUSA location. With Norm. Sweet up front, toffee, raisins, brown sugar, a tad messy. Not awful, not world class.

On tap @ Congregation Long Beach. Brown pour with a thick khaki head. Grassy and herbal hops on the nose. Caramel, raisin, and a touch of roast. Meh. Flavor is really sweet and fruity. Some caramel, raisin, and prune. Herbal hops, toast, and grass. Light bitterness. Grape Otter Pop as it warms.

Tap at Congregation Azusa. Pours deep cola with webby lacing. Black IPA nose straight up with roast, pine, herbal hops. On target for style even though just listed on the board as "Dark Ale". Taste is dry, dusty, mild herbal bitterness. But overall the finish is bland with cola. Palate is dusty, chalky.
