OStreetBrewery (98), Wellington, New Zealand Sep 29, 2007 Pours a light gold with a tight disapearing white head, Aroma features loads of sulfur with a moderate tangy citric goldings character. On the palate there is plenty of resinious hop which gives way to sweet nutty malt with a hint of stewed barley which builds on the palate as you drink finally becoming unpleasent. Good clean bitter finish.
FlyingSwine (143), Littleton, Colorado, USA Nov 28, 2008 I was a bit disappointed in this one. Pours a clear straw with a decent froth. NO lacing. Aroma is light hops. Flavor has maily light hops, some very weak malt, witha bit of banana. Palate is watery and slightly carbonated. Overall a drinkable, but diappointing beer. jjpm74 (3446), Connecticut, USA Nov 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of dry malt, some light citrus. Tastes of hay, dry malt, light pepper. A touch of bitterness is present on the finish. fonefan (5507), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 28, 2008 Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Light unclear light to medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, orange. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (130808) nearbeer (1383), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 26, 2008 500 ml. Burnt orange with a half-inch of lasting meringue that leaves crunchy-creamy frosting on the pint glass. Aroma is caramel, apple with the pithy core, hints of earthy-spiced orange and split wood. Flavor is a bit milder: caramel, light orange and tart apple, with an overarching citric-chalky bitterness. Light body is mostly smooth, slightly watery and nearly astringently dry. KAggie97 (2023), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours like a typical English bitter- cheddar orange, nice white head, and a slightly active body. Aroma is pure British bitter, with a slight buttery malted nut in the background. Flavor is sour lake water with hints of long-forgotten nut and algae. Watery mouthfeel. Not good at all, at least in a bottle.
