God bitter fra Coniston Brewing. Tilpas med humle. Meget frisk øl, der savner lidt sødme.

Cask gravity at a campsite on the coast of coniston water. For May’s 30th. Mid golden coloured pour with a fleeting loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, mid caramel, slightly grassy on the nose

On cask at Black Bull Coniston - Clear gold body with a tight foamy white head. A flowery hop nose. Not as bitter as the standard Bluebird and sweeter. Tangy finish, but got a little samey as the drink went on.

Cask at iron abbey. Pours hazy amber with a large white head, great retention. The aroma is clean, floral, a tad citrus. The taste has a nice grainy taste but has a sneaky bitterness in the finish. Great balance between the hoppiness and sweetness.

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Festival ’15. Gold with white head. Sweetly balanced beer, full malts, quite fruity along with a balanced bitterness. I’d forgotten how good Coniston Bluebird was but this was a good reminder. Liked it.

On cask at the Black Bull. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - oranges and grapefruit. Some biscuit. Taste - biscuit more prominent and still a bit orange note too. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good beer and quite high bitterness given the style.

On tap in a pint glass. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, pale and light caramel malts, and some dough and light spices. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A solid beer but could be hoppier.

Aroma: Lemon and grass are how the hops come off to me; malts are biscuity with a little dry tobacco leaf. Appearance: Pale gold with a foamy white head that settles into a bubbly skin; carbonation is very slight. Flavor: Pretty much matches the nose; more lemony than grassy, more biscuit than tobacco- more like a regular bitter. Semi-dry toward the finish. Palate: Light body, slightly sticky texture, soft carbonation, lingering finish. Overall: Good keg bitter, though not much more personality than the regular bitter.

@Sergio’s in Louisville. Slightly hazy orange amber with a 1" white head, no lace. Taste is malt with toast that adds light floral hops as it enters the finish. Very smooth and easy to drink, not to be confused with American IPAs. Strong on its own merits.
