Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.

Clear medium to dark brown amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, berries, fruity, light caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100120]

Cask. A brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel as well as medium notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel.

Cask. Clear orangey brown with a small off-white head. Sweetish nutty nose. Light body, sweet nuts and caramel. No bitterness. 200110

Cask @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a clear dark amber reddish color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with hoppy hints.

Cask at troon beer fest 07... deep red ... fruity toffee... sweet slightly spice red style ale.

Amber-brown. Toffee-caramel nose - a touch of butter? Soft, light toffee character. Finishes a little bit weak, actually.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2010 1. Cask Handpump at the High Cross Inn, Broughton in Furness 16/09/2006 Fruit aroma. Mid brown coloured fruity and slightly rich on the palate. Some acidity. Crisp and bitter malt finish. 2. Cask Stillage at NWAF The Venue, Miles Platting 20/01/2010 Big malt and some spice aroma. Bronze mid brown coloured and fruity with a grainy and slightly bitter peppery malt finish. 3. Cask Stillage at the Community Centre, Tarporley 30/01/2010 Malt aroma. Mid brown coloured malty and smooth on the palate with a hint of dryness in a chocolaty malt finish.

Cask Conditioned at The Black Bull Hotel, Conison. Dark ruby colour with bubbly white head. Drank this after a morning climbing the mountain itself, The Old Man of Coniston is a dark rugged mountain and the beer follows suit, strong oaky and toffeeish. Nicely balanced, a great beer after a great morning.

Tap at HDG. Hazy amber beer, creamy white head. Woody hop aroma. Earthy hop aroma over slightly bready/honeyish malts. Lingering yeastiness. Decent body, balanced with a touch of berryish ester flavour. Decent bitter.

Cask at troon ber fest 07. Aroma is fairly sulphury, nutty malts, floural hop, but blends well. Taste has some good malt character, caramel and spice making it quite tasty.
