COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed in memory of Harry Belton, the brewer’s grandfather, who was a master blacksmith in Coniston. This rich, strong ale warming with hints of Christmas pudding is brewed using Challenger hops and crystal malt. Strong Ales Category 2007 Gold Medal Winner SIBA North Competition. Cask, seasonal.

[Cask at the Black Bull Inn, Coniston] Toffee and malt with a hint of mint and a dry bitter finish. Nice at first, but grew less appealing the more I drank.

At the Black Bull Coniston. Mid copper brown, tight head which lasts. Caramel like sweetness, maltiness and a light bitterness to finish. Really good stuff.

Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 23/04/2004 Amber golden coloured and a litte hazy in appearance. Fruity and slightly acidic tasting with a hint of dryness in a lasting finish.
