25cl on tap at Brussel Beer Cafe, KL. Black with a creamy light brown nitro head. Quite strange herbal aroma with mint dominates over the malt and caramel. Very little roasted aroma. Strange stout, herbal with a light bitterness in the finish. A bit watery. (2012-05-05)

On tap in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Black, creamy light beige head. Aroma of some soft sweet fruits, hard roasted malts, chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet, light malty, roasted malts, hint of coffee, chocolate, light bitterness. It’s a bit watery, but decent.

Nitro pour. Dark brown with deep burgundy accents. Light brown nitro cream head. The aroma is toasty with chocolate malt. Chocolatey, creamy with light coffeeish notes. Low to moderate bitterness. Some acidity in the finish. Not a scintillating beer, but competes well enough with the draught Guinness.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2010 Draft, nitro pour @ La Bodega restaurant in Pavillion mall, KL. Deep brown, not quite black with thick even tan head (nitro). No lace. Aroma has some tang after the chocolate malt. Thin, easy palate. Is a nitro palate. Flavors are unique, has foreign stout fruitiness, slight sourness, slight seed bitterness, mild cocoa flavors, and qualities of acidic instant coffee. Alright. Re-visited this one after a long session at the GAB brewery (Guinness Malaysia). The Connor has quite a lot of coffee and not as much roast as the Guinness. There is also some coffee creamer flavors here I do not like, but has nice fruity tones throughout as well as a hint of vanilla. Unexciting but definitely its own thing.
