COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Medusa. That evil creature with snakes instead of hair, slithering towards you with lithe malice, ever wanting to crush you in her cold embrace. Sweet and silky, the seductress uses the dark arts of chocolate malt and roasted barley to give your palate a ravishing experience that you will not soon forget. By utilizing advanced mashing techniques rather than lactose sugar, Conquest has created a stout that is reminiscent of both a chocolate stout and a milk stout, but that is suitable for the lactose intolerant. There is enough sweet chocolate flavor that many have sworn we cheated. Judge for yourself. Malts: American Two-Row, Crystal 60, Dextrine Malt, American Chocolate, Roasted Barley Hops: Warrior

Decent stout. Coffee notes. Good roasted flavor. A little thin, but maybe that’s because I just finished a taste of a really good one.

Conquest stout in a 22 oz bottle. Mildly sweet upfront but mildly bitter aftertaste. Ample dark roasted grain with very little burnt or char. Solid but lacks complexity.

From tap at brewery. Pours black as night with a thin tan head. Aroma was all coffee and deep roasted malt. Taste followed with a slight chocolate but mostly coffee. Mouth feel was thin for a stout and did not get the silky chocolate I was expecting.

Draft at closed for business, charleston sc. Lighter bodied black pour, light lacing, little head. Chocolate notes in both aroma and flavor. Not very complex but a decent stout.

Draft at Burger Tavern 77 in Columbia, SC This was the only stout we tasted. It comes from a local Columbia brewery. The stout poured a deep black with very small head. Coffee hits your nose immediately and dominates the taste as well. The stout had soft carbomation and could have more body. Roasted malts and coffee also occupy the finish. I would like to try another.
