3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, - APR 14, 2004
Tap, ZBF 2004. Gold thin white head and low fine (natural?) condition. Delicate grainy malt in the nose, gentle malt in the mouth with quite assertive hoppiness and a grainy finish with a discreet hop bitterness. Well made, as good a pils as you would find in Belgium, but I suspect you would struggle to find this one.

250 ml bottle. Slightly hazy yellow body with a fine white head. Aroma of cooked vegetables, broth and a hint of honey. Flavor is harsh metallic bitter and sweet something – not malt. This is not good, but possible to drink as a sample to show that Belgium pilsner seldom are any good.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 yngwie (9196) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 6, 2011
Bottle, as Aakjær Premium Pils. A more or less clear one, slightly hazed, and topped by a dense, off-white to white head of moderate size. Yellow to golden in color. There’s a touch of celler in the nose, maybe due to age, as well as a fruity sweetness and some grassy notes. Some pale malts. The flavor is sort of citrusy, with pale malts as a base. Rather sweet, slightly plagued with cooked vegetables and some bitterness showing up towards the end. Not very interesting. 110406
