fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2007 Hazy blond color; nice lace. A very original Belgian Ale, partially in line with the tradition, but with an understated hopping, making both aroma and flavor be also flowery and fruity; there is also some residual sweetness. Very interesting. oh6gdx (6331), Vaasa, Finland Sep 14, 2007 Bottled. Hazy golden colour, big creamy white head. Aroma is bigtime US IPA-like along with some earthy and grassy notes. Flavour is leather, caramel, fruits and some interesting yeast. This is a very interesting brew from much I have had lately. Hard to describe but really good. Jerre (1396), Waregem, Belgium Apr 3, 2007 Bottle, 25 cl. Now it called "El Toro"
brewed for the Tour of Flanders.
But next month new name Contreras extra. Dark blond en white head.
Aroma yeasty, fruity.
Taste is very well yeast, nice caracter. Medium bodied.
Bitter aftertaste, good.
Very drinkable. thebeertourist (1879), Oslo, Norway Sep 21, 2007 From bottle@1ste BAB-Bierfestival, Brugge. Cloudy orangey golden with a creamy head. Fruity and spicy aroma. Spices hit the tongue-interesting mix, including pepper. Still fruity. Good bitter-sweet balance. Nice. sayravai (3181), Helsinki, Finland Jul 23, 2007 (Bottled@Delirium Cafe, Brussels) Hazy golden with a smallish, firm head. Malty, fruity, smooth and pleasantly perfumy-hoppy aroma. The flavor is herby-fruity with mild acidity and lots of lavender. Not much different with yeast. Medium-bodied, smooth-carbonated palate. A nicely aromatic and smooth brew.
