3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl, aged 1 year.
Pours a dark orange to amber coloured beer. Pretty cloudy. Solid creamy off-white head. Smells a little dusty, ripe banana, figs and caramel. Full malty flavour, hints of caramel and wood. Ends a little acidic, but this might be the age (1y). Aftertaste is mostly caramel and roasted malts. Very little bitterness, again a little acidic finishing touch.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Serving date: 2009-03-11. Served in tulip. Best before: 2011-04-12.
Brass colored, hazy and with a big ivory colored head that dissipates very slowly and leaves tons of lacings.
A very fresh and pleasant smell. Sweet fruity aromas up front (banana, peach). Some dirt, yeast and slight alcohol right in the end. A rather powerful smell, mostly sweet but with some tart notes.
The taste is not as interesting as the smell at first, but after a while, when the beer gets warmer, it develops in the right direction. Again, plenty of fruit up front (banana, apple, passion fruit). Earth and yeast. Nice mix of sweet and tart aromas. Plenty of malts with a prominent wheat character - rather doughy. The finish gets bitter just for a second, then more earthy yeast, mineral flavors and malts take over. The alcohol gets a little more noticeable towards the end.
Medium body. Rather creamy (perhaps because of the generous amount of foam that sticks around) despite the semi-dry finish and lots of tiny but lively bubbles in the liquid.
This is more than decent, rather good actually, but not great. Very fresh and well balanced. Really easy to drink. Nothing is really bad, but nothing is really good either. Recommended.

It poured a golden hazy liquid with a small foam that left some lacing. It had a fruity and yeasty smell. It had a taste of yeast, fruit, apples and some sweetness. Very nice and enjoyable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy orange with a large off white head. Eggy at first, then a sweet, sticky malt aroma with the curious seaweedy note you sometimes get in Belgian beers. Interesting, but ultimately nauseous. Taste is really just sweetness, cloying like honey, and only the smallest hint of dryness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy dark golden with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma has a lot of unfermented wort or heavy, bready malt. I’m not a fan of that. Flavour is sweet and fruity, with spicy yeast notes, but a little on the cloying sweet side. A real shame since it’s such an inviting yeast character.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle, 33cl, 6,5% vol) Yeast in bottle, bit foggy golden beer with thick golden foam.Yeasty, bit acidy aroma with some banana, apple, pear and malt. Quite sweet, bit malty taste with some quite pleasant alcoholic tones. Bit light palate and not too much aftertaste, just some sweet malt and alcohol mixed in with low bitterness.
