Würzig-malziger Nachgeschmack. Orange-brown cloudy beer. Very thin head. Just a little carbonation. Smooth and slightly frothy. Light malt with a citrus tone and a whisper of marmite! Slightly odd combo but goes down okay.

Fruity, viny aroma, oxidized, with raisins, light spice, some caramel. medium amber color going towards orange, with a fine, thick, low head. Sweet, fruity flavor, lots of raisins and honey, a little caramel and citrus. There is a distinctly tart aspect. Not excessively bitter, rather dry at the end, though. Smooth, somewhat low carbonation. Seems slightly oxidized. Well-balanced but not all that interesting. Seems like it would be better if fresher.

33cl, aged 1 year. Pours a dark orange to amber coloured beer. Pretty cloudy. Solid creamy off-white head. Smells a little dusty, ripe banana, figs and caramel. Full malty flavour, hints of caramel and wood. Ends a little acidic, but this might be the age (1y). Aftertaste is mostly caramel and roasted malts. Very little bitterness, again a little acidic finishing touch.

Serving date: 2009-03-11. Served in tulip. Best before: 2011-04-12. Brass colored, hazy and with a big ivory colored head that dissipates very slowly and leaves tons of lacings. A very fresh and pleasant smell. Sweet fruity aromas up front (banana, peach). Some dirt, yeast and slight alcohol right in the end. A rather powerful smell, mostly sweet but with some tart notes. The taste is not as interesting as the smell at first, but after a while, when the beer gets warmer, it develops in the right direction. Again, plenty of fruit up front (banana, apple, passion fruit). Earth and yeast. Nice mix of sweet and tart aromas. Plenty of malts with a prominent wheat character - rather doughy. The finish gets bitter just for a second, then more earthy yeast, mineral flavors and malts take over. The alcohol gets a little more noticeable towards the end. Medium body. Rather creamy (perhaps because of the generous amount of foam that sticks around) despite the semi-dry finish and lots of tiny but lively bubbles in the liquid. This is more than decent, rather good actually, but not great. Very fresh and well balanced. Really easy to drink. Nothing is really bad, but nothing is really good either. Recommended.
