ZBF 2008: lightly hazy dark amber with a small off-white head. An odd but deep and full malt character. Dark bread and light sourdough (not sourdough bread but the dough itself). Light but deep running simple spice possibly caraway seed. On top is Brazil nuts and fried dates. Flavor of that deep spice from the aroma. Spicy malt character almost rye. Dried leaves and dark fruit compot with figs. Ends with some raw grain and a dash of tin. Somewhat creamy feeling but ends dry enough.

33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy golden orange with a dense off-white head, lasts for a few minutes before it completely collapses. Overripe fruit, light marzipan and a mild yeast note in the aroma. Sweet caramel malt at first before a dried fruity yeast flavour rolls over the tongue. Nice fruity and yeasty finish, holds a mild wooden note too.

Kind bottled gift from our kid Mes. My beer guru. The Alex to my Ferguson. Smells like a dirty dogs donut but I am drunk and sat in a room full of heathens and chemistry. Amber cloudy in appearance. Dry aftertaste, pleasant indeed it is.

Bottle. Pours a nice hazy golden amber with a short lasting off white head leaving a fair lacing. The has a sweet maltiness with some yeast and fruitiness. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with caramel, yeast, malt, a pleasant soft fruitiness and mild spiciness. The finish is dry and fruit with a mild bitterness. The beer of Mars? ILd drink some more of these.
