imdownthepub (3963), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 14, 2008 Bottled, 330ml at Kafee du Hopduvel, Ghent. Amber to gold with white head. The advice was, when in Hopduvel have the Contreras, its hard to find. This is soft and fruity, with quite an easy going nature, no big flavours, just enough to find satisfying. It’s ok. MiP (4843), Flensburg, Germany Mar 15, 2008 ZBF08. Weak white bread aroma. Clear golden colour. Nice big stable, creamy white head. Tastes a bit like Caffrey’s or some boring Irish cream ale. Not offensive of course, but not exciting either. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft to medium carbonation. Malty, sweet finish. yespr (5611), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours golden and clear orange with a lacing white head. Light pilsner malty aroma, mild spice note. Vague sweetness with a light fruity note at first. Goes into a more bitter and dry flavour with subdued spice notes. Ends light spiced. downender (1458), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 6, 2007 330ml bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Amber coloured with a decent off-white head. Sweet malt aroma followed by a bitter-sweet flavour and a dry finish. Good. fonefan (4062), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, malt sweet, sugar. Aroma is like the danish "hvidtøl". Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Flavor is like a thin danish "hvidtøl". (310807)
