Amber colored beer with a small white head. Very sweet malty aroma and taste. This beer reminds me of something I had before but I can’t remember what. Anyway a very drinkable beer.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 Cask from Beer Cricus’s LBBF ’05 (02.07.05). The best thing I remember about this beer was the pronunciation - is it tu-neck-ee or tawn-uh-kee? Everytime I said it one way, someone would correct me and claim it was the other way. Didn’t spoil my experience though. Cloudy amber in colour with foamy head. Aroma of toffee and spice. Sweet-ish taste with a spicy edge and lemon notes. Grassy finish? Probably hops. Fairly standard, but no less good.

Bart (2941) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2006
Draught, light amber coloured, with some light carbonation and an average white head. Sweet malty aroma, clear roasted caramel hints. Full body, little sweet roasted. Finish is sweet-bitter with some light herby touches. Average belgian ale.

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2006
Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BBE Jun 06). Sweet caramel malty nose with lots of pear drop. Sweet easy going body. The combination of pear drops and sweetness had an almost artificial feel which didnt sit well with me.

Bottle. Cloudy golden coloured with a white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, spices and caramel. Flavour of malts, caramel and fruits. A bit watery.

Nice, hazy red-amber color with a small but lasting head. Very caramely-malty, slightly raw, toffeeish aroma. The flavor is raw-malty, caramely and quite sugary. Medium-bodied palate with smooth carbonation. Interesting brew - I really expected a pils, looking at the bottle. Is this barrel-aged? Not bad for its ABV, although quite sugary.

schuimkroaat (413) - Leuven, BELGIUM - NOV 16, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2006 25 cl bottle, bottled/’bbe’ = ? Amber-copper colour, scarce turbidity, very weak head. Fruity (apples, raisins) and vinous aroma revealing also caramel, a hint of bread and some yeast. Malty taste with the same fruitiness as in the nose. Light spicy background, light hoppy aftertaste. A bit soapy palate.

Beer #21 at Croydon Draught Belgian Beer Festival. Hardly a blockbuster in Belgian terms. I don’t know whether my palate was becoming a bit jaded but for three beers in a row my notes said "not a lot going on". An amber coloured beers. Touches of sweetish caramel. Mellow and easy-going. Nothing really stands out, but its a decent session beer.
