Golden coloured with much sediment. Aroma of apples. Fruity and sweet flavour with red apples. This beer sold out on the first day of Karakterbierweekend 2004 in Vichte before I had tasted it, but fortunately they went to the brewery to get some more.

Bottled. Fresh fruity citric aroma. Clear, dark yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Light sweet, light citrus, bitter, light peach, soft. The aroma is refreshing but it doesn’t taste refreshing. That’s really a downpoint i.m.o..

In short: A basic Belgian blonde ale with spicy herbal/floral hops and a little too much carbonation. Just ok
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed a little more than one year before expiration date
The look: Cloudy light peach color body, lots of small particles, small white head
In long: Nose is has some of the usual Belgian blonde ale fruity esters (tropical fruits, lychees and even some bananas) and herbal spiciness. Taste has lots of straw, honeyed crackers, some dried light color fruits, flowery and herbal hops with a strong spicy character. Aggressive soda-pop style carbonation. The aggressive carbonation added to the spiciness made for a rough abrasive finish adding metallic and acrid sensation. The beer didn’t taste all that yeasty which is strange given all the yeast floating in my glass. Overall a rather ordinary Belgian blonde ale but nonetheless something I could get drunk on an uneventful day. Because I don’t need excuses to get drunk, I need beer.

330ml bottle, cloudy honey gold hue, with a pillowy, bubbly white head, with a mild sweet honeyed, corny vegetable nose, with a wet grainy pale, pilsener, toasted malty, sublte vanilla accent, and with some candied lemon, grapefruit peel, faint floral citrus hop note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, sweet grainy pale, pilsener, toasty malt, corny character, with some honey, vanilla, faint citrus flavors and with a light flowery leafy, grassy, citrus lemon, grapefruit hop backbone, leading towards a sweet honeyed pale, pilsener, toasty maltiness, lingering juicy citrus hop bitterness finish.
