33cl bottle - pours a cloudy gold, a substantial, lasting, frothy head - complex, earthy nose, with notes of herbs, wildflowers, spicy hops, lemon zest, white pepper, wheat, light funk and acidity - spicy, hoppy and herbal up front - this is followed by some wheat, tangy citrus, wet grass/hay - some husky character - gains a little bit of sweetness near the finish, which is tempered by warming spices and a light peppery quality - there are better belgian ales out there, but this is quite solid.

A gentle, lasting white film remains over the cloudy, opaque golden shade. Pleasantly yeasty, floral and spicy ale with a fun honeyed biscuity maltiness + honest fresh pils malt extraction all akin to the grain bill of a maibock. Fresh tasting and moderately hoppy, its Belgianesque carbonation is engaging and fitting the general dryness. Kinda green and rustic, it’s another pleasant surprise in that Valeir lineup - simple and most effective beers that are most undeniably Belgian, but drier than average and refreshing.

Bottled - Evening Star Brighton. A blonde coloured beer with a nice white head and decent lacing. The aroma is hoppy with lemon citrus notes and a little pepper. The taste is smooth and a little creamy. There is more peppery spicy hop and a good yeasty flavour. Good body and tasty.

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a moderate head. Floral hop aroma. Nice and fresh flavour; one of the most hoppy Belgians I’ve had in a while. Very pleasant if slightly over-carbonated beer.
