Light golden with a huge, white head. The aroma has notes of citrus and malt and the flavour is slightly sweet with light notes of fruit, citrus, malt and a touch of honey. The finish has a light and refreshing citrus, and the body is rather light for a tripel. 2271

Draught: Poured a hazy yellow that cleared up with a white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Nice floral/fruit taste with loads of hoppiness in the finish.

From bottle, at Zythos Beer Festival. Clear golden colour. One of the innumerable spicy, fruity, mildly yeasty blonde ales on offer at Zythos. Perhaps a bit sharper and drier than some. To be frank, this isn’t my favourite Belgian style. And with nearly every brewer in town seemingly intent on offering one, and all the darker options exhausted, I was reaching the point of overload. Clean and firm but nothing out of the ordinary. Competent but short of character.

Bottel.33cl. Good tripel aroma, and just the right amount of orangepeel, and that comes back in the taste it is a bit hazy. Good head.

Bottled. Pale yellow coloured. Unclear. Huge off white head. Fruits and sweetness in the aroma. Is yeasty, fruity and citric in the flavour. Is meidum bodied. Is light sour and grapish in the end. A bit on the light side flavour and aromawise.

Dark orange and a bit unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma and flavor is spicy, lots of hops. A bit astringent. Warning alcohol.

Golden with a large white head. Yeast and fruit aroma, a curious but attractive mixture of mustiness and freshness. Alcohol prominent in the taste, along with sweet, soapy fruitiness, citrus, melon and mixed spice to the fore. Some dryness at the finish. Very good.

Bottle. Pale golden color, hazy. Grassy citric hops in the aroma, with a hint of nutmeg added. Malty flavor with vanilla, citrus and flowery hops. A firm bitterness with vanilla in the aftertaste. Hint of yoghurt. A slight touch of alcohol. Excellent and very well balanced.

A Sim rate (Bottle at ZBF): Smells like light citrus with wheat and an unfortunate hint of seafood. Sweet and sour flavour again very citric, more grapefruit than lemon.

Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2007
33 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom, Pale golden colour with a huge white head. Light aroma of yeast, citrus and some spices. Nice smooth flavour of spices, yeast followed by a little bitter and a varm felling from the alcohol, very nice and classic for it’s style.
