It poured a cloudy orangish color with a small white head. The aroma was of yeast, corn and some breadiness. The flavor was of sweet fruits, some apple/pear with a bready/yeasty finish.

Benzai (6440) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 23, 2011
Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, very nice large carbo-bubbles moving upwards to a big thick white head. Smell sweetness, fruityness and a faint hint of hops. Taste sweet, fruit, slightly sugar, little bit citrus and slightly bitter. Firm carbonation and medium to full body; very nice tripel in my opinion!

Golden hue with fluffy white head that quickly dissipates, this beer has sweet fruity aroma and flavor. A pretty standard tripel.

Eructoblaster (2858) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 28, 2011
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy blond body with a decent, lasting white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with herbal hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its sharp hoppy taste carries herbal and coriander notes. Ends with a good bitter/herbal finish.

11.2oz grenade bottle. Hazy, almost opaque straw yellow tan. Massive foamy head laces the glass. For a Tripel, gets a 5 for appearance from me. Sweet aroma, lots of candi sugar flavor with a pleasantly herbal and dry hop balance. Yeasty, creamy. Some interesting fruity yeast tones, brandied banana. Quite a unique Tripel, almost has a candied Hefeweizen thing going on. Heavy and full bodied, but good enough to pull it off. Quite nice and unique, a great Tripel.

11.2 oz bottle. 8.5% alcohol. Pours into my branded snifter (tulips are all dirty) with a bright, clear, pale gold with many tiny bubbles racing to the giant bright white head. It is a stunner. It is very Duvel-like in appearance. This might look even better than Duvel, though I would like to do a side-by-side. The smell is bready and malty with a nice bit of lemon and a big hit of yeasty twang as expected form a Belgian. It is sweeter than Duvel and not as subtly complex. But it does taste pretty damn good with hints of lemon, yeast and pale malts. The mouthfeel is a bit watery docking it mouthfeel points, but it has the right amount of carbonation, but the flavor delivery leaves a bit of watery character to the taste. Look for this if you want a break from the everyday Duvel. In appearance it is a stunner and a great beer to boot. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-16-2010 01:41:26
