33cl bottles, Contreras family tasting. - smooth convincing dubbel, plum-purple brown with great adhesive creamy lacing, modest yeasty aroma. Great medium-full body, caramel and plum, without the cloying sweetness. Great subtle dubbel for a new generation.

33cl Bottle from ABS Drinks Winksele. Slightly hazy ruby-brown colour, creamy and slightly rocky off-white to beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, burnt caramel, fruity esters, hint of roasted malts. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, very fruity, dark fruits, raisins, plums, a hint of berries, roasted malts, caramel, light bitter fruity finish. Light to medium-bodied, just a tiny touch over-carbonated. Tasty dubbel.

Aroma is quite dry and woody. Flavour has a rich, fruity sweetness a bit like dried raisins. It’s a full flavour for quite low alcohol.

Bottle. Murkey brown color with moderate head. Aroma is pretty potent, with ripe raisin, sweet belgium candy, prunes, yeast. Creamy texture. Medium bodied. This seems a bit higher than 6.5%. Dry finish. A pretty decent belgian ale.
