3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. A clear, ruby beer with a big, beige head. Yeast clouds. Dried fruits, dark berries, a spicy touch and some yeast in the aroma. Dark sugars, a little spicyness and herbal bitterness, as well as dried and fresh fruits in the mouth. Full-bodied, rather sweetish with a nice carbonation level. Some alcohol warmth too. Bitter, spiced finsih. A classic belgian, pleasant and balanced on the sweet side. (080731)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, bought @ Estate Wine, Holstebro.
Pours deep brown with a big, yellowish, off-white head. Rather creamy with great duration. Sweet yeasty aroma, some slight chocolate, some fruitiness. Medium to high carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit subdued at first, some dried fruits appearing first, then a definite dark chocolate note mix well with a fair hoppy note in the finish. It seems rather out of balance, still it is very drinkable...
